Mobile Baby!

A few days ago you figured out how to flip from your back to your stomach, but usually only did one flip at a time. Tonight you were laying on your back looking at a block that was out of reach. You flip over toward it, and then kept going. You rolled!!

Swimming

It's finally summer time and we're trying to do a lot of fun summer things, such as SWIMMING!

Here are some pictures from the first time you went swimming. We went with our friends Michelle and Gabbi Prince.

Getting ready to get in the pool:

Testing out the water:
You weren't quite sure what to think of swimming. I think eventually you'll really like it. This first time was a little bit windy, so you mostly just sat in my arms looking at the water and watching Gabbi play.

Here you are wrapped in your bathrobe after we swam:

A few days later, Dad and I took you swimming again.
The sun was a little bit too bright, but you did like looking at the water as long as you were in the shade.

Hanging Out with Dad

You really like the time you get to spend with Dad. You're definitely a Daddy's Girl.

Here you are hanging out with him (literally) and helping him take out the trash:

Here you guys were hanging out watching TV. You got the remote.

Sleeping

You sleep like a champ. I love it. At bedtime (usually 7:00pm) we go through your bedtime routine (put you in pjs, a new diaper, sometimes read a story, say a prayer) and then we lay you down in bed. You look around for a little while, and then go to sleep. You stay asleep until approximately 1:00am when you wake up (with no crying) to eat. You go right back to sleep and sleep until around 4:00am (again no crying) and eat again. Then you go right back to sleep again until it's time to get up around 7:00am. Thanks for being such a good sleeper!

You have started sleeping in a new position: on your side!

During the nights and most of your naps you roll over on your side, stretch out your neck and go to sleep.

Flip!

Hey, wait a minute... I left you on your back!

This is a picture of the first time you made it from your back to your belly all by yourself. You did it while you were sleeping!

This is the second time, this time you did it while you were playing. I left the room for a minute and when I came back you were like this.

June 4, 2010

On June 4 we went to the doctor's office for your four month check-up. You're healthy and growing really well! Here are your stats:

Height: 24.5 in (55%)
Weight: 13 lbs 3 oz
Head Circum: 16.75 in (80%)

You had to get more shots this visit which did not make you happy. Since you learned how to lift up your head by yourself, you usually sit up and look around. You rarely lay on us anymore unless you're asleep. The whole day after your shots you laid limply in my arms crying. It was such a sad day. However, the next morning you woke up as happy as ever.

Curiosity

You have grown so much and have become so curious! It's fun watching you explore and discover new things.

You particularly like being on Daddy's desk and watching his video games.

And singing songs (like Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes; Wheels on the Bus; Hinges, The Itsy Bitsy Spider; and others) with me.

You also grab at toys that are hanging over your head. Here's a particularly delightful video of you playing with the toys on your bouncer.

Visit from Grandma Brison

Gramma Brison came out to visit you. We had a lot of fun with her here. She read to you...

And played with you...

And bought you a fun new toy!

You like playing in your new "space ship."

Found Your Feet

You have recently discovered a fun new toy... your own feet!

Smiles in the Mirror

Seeing yourself in the mirror always makes you smile. I can get you to stop screaming or crying and instantly have it replaces with a smile by letting you see yourself in the mirror.

Blue Eyes

You have the prettiest big blue eyes. They're hard to capture on film because of the red-eye effect, but this pictures shows them well.
