The Wheels on the Bus

You LOVE when Daddy and I sing to you. You like listening to the songs and have started mimicking some of the actions in songs like The Itsy Bitsy Spider and The Wheels on the Bus.

This morning, the first thing you said to me when I got you out of bed was "bus!" You kept saying it over and over while I was changing your diaper. I thought you wanted to see a bus (because you love seeing them while we drive in the car), but then I finally realized you wanted me to sing The Wheels on the Bus.

It was a fun moment because you knew how to say what you wanted!

Moving

After living with you for a year and a half in our one bedroom apartment, we finally moved to a bigger apartment. You loved the moving process and loved playing in the boxes:

And climbing around places you couldn't play before (because there were shelves in the way):

You were actually a really good helper with packing because you like putting things away. I would show you a pile of things and ask you to put them in a box for me. You would bring them over and drop them in the boxes while I organized that box. It was awesome to have such a cute little helper!

Chicago

I attended a work conference in Chicago and you came along.  Grandma came too so you'd have someone to play with while I was at the sessions.

Since we weren't at home you didn't nap too well.  We went for a walk though and you zonked out in the stroller.

There was a fountain a few blocks from our hotel.  You LOVED running around here and splashing in the water. 

Playing in the Water

You LOVE playing in water.  This summer we've had a lot of fun playing in pools and splash parks.

Watching it Rain

You like to go out on the balcony when it's raining to watch it rain.  One day it was raining and the loading dock below our balcony started flooding.  We watched it fill up with water.  

Butterfly Pavillion

We went down to the National Museum of Natural History to see the Butterfly Pavilion with our playgroup.

Playing on the Mattress

Daddy and I started moving out mattress out to the front room to sleep so you could have the bedroom to yourself.  You love playing on it.  You jump, roll, and giggle.  It keeps you entertained for a long time.
