You crack me up all the time, and you know it too. You often laugh and say "I crack you up all the time!"
Sometimes you put things in your mouth (pennies, pen lids, usb drives, etc) that shouldn't be there. So when I see you chewing on something I ask "what's in your mouth?" Sometimes it's food and other times it's something that shouldn't be there. Sometimes...
Mommy: What's in your mouth?
Paige: A booger!
You love to watch Dora the Explorer, and have started incorporating some of the things she does in your everyday life. For example, in one episode Dora and Boots sneak by the sleeping dragon on tiptoes being very quiet. You know that you can't have chips for breakfast (at least until you eat something healthy), but the other morning you found a can of Pringles. Daddy woke up to you sneaking by him on tiptoes whispering "Shh... tiptoe, tiptoe."
Sometimes you try to get away with doing things you know you shouldn't by telling me to leave so you can do them. For example, you wanted to drop a bunch of toilet paper into the toilet. I told you not to do it. You looked at me. Then at the toilet. Then back to me. Then you said "you leave now!"
You're usually very sweet with your new sister, Quinn. When she's crying you get her binky, hold her hand, or say soothing things (mimicking the cadence of my voice) like:
"There, there Quinn. Don't cry. You'll be happy soon."
"Don't worry. We'll get you home soon."
"It's ok, Quinn. It's just a bath."
Other times you try to play with Quinn even though she doesn't quite know how yet. For example, this morning Quinn was sitting in her bouncer. Giggling, you sneaked up on her, dumped an armful of laundry on her face and yelled "Quinn is hiding!" When I pulled the clothes off of Quinn's face she was grinning to... which only made you want to do it more. (It took me a few times to convince you that we don't throw laundry on Quinn's face)
The other day we went to the National Museum of Natural History, or as you call it, the Bug Museum. We looked at the bugs there (which you still LOVE) and then looked at some other things. By the tail of the Giant Elephant in the museum's rotunda there is a little display on dung beetles that live in elephant poop. You thought that was SO funny. For the days since you keep saying (at random times) "dung beetles live in ELEPHANT POOP!" and you laugh and laugh and laugh.
You are really interested in outer space. You love the Mickey/Dora episodes where they go to space and lately have taken to pretending to blast off in a rocket. You sit down on the floor, and put on your "helmet" and "seat belt" (both imaginary). Then you run around the room and put seat belts and helmets on everyone there, saying "you need your helmet and seat belt so you'll be safe." Then you do a count down: "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.. blast off!!"
