Caught on Video

I caught you rolling on video today. It's so cute!

Roll Over!

Today I had you on your tummy and you rolled over to your back! Once you did it you got really excited and smiley. You were probably just excited that you could get out of that wretched tummy time.

Photo Shoot

My friend Brittney took some awesome pictures of you. You're so cute!

Interest in Toys

You've become more interested in toys lately. You especially like your soft pink bear and blocks that you have. You stare at them and swat at them with your hands. You're also starting to grab onto things and put things into your mouth. Sometimes you want to taste things, but since you can't quite get them to your mouth you just bite at them.

Here's a video of you grabbing your bear:

Here you are biting at your blocks:

Smiles

You have an extremely happy and beautiful smile. I still haven't caught it in a picture yet, but here are some of my most recent attempts.

Heads Up!

On April 12 I put you down for tummy time only to get this surprise:

You were lifting your head and shoulders up! You lifted yourself up and stayed there for awhile (which you had never done for so long before). I got really excited and dove for the camera to get lots of pictures.

Baby Blessing

On April 11, Dad gave you a special blessing in church. It was a really special day for you.

My Aunt Peggy (Gramma Brison's sister) made your dress for you. It was made out of my wedding dress. The wedding dress was originally my Grandma Haws' dress, then your Gramma Brison wore it, and then I wore it. You looked so pretty!

More pictures taken that day:

Mount Vernon

One of the days Aunt Lindsey, Grandma, and Grandpa were here we all went down to Mount Vernon to see George Washington's house. Here's how exciting you found most of the day:

Here are some of the pictures we took that day:

It's really fun living so close to cool places like this one!

Aunt Lindsey and Grandma and Grandpa Kartchner

Aunt Lindsey and Grandma and Grandpa Kartchner came out to visit you for the weekend. You'd loved having extra people to see and to have so many people standing around adoring you!

You and Aunt Lindsey:

You and Grandma:
Grandma had a magic touch with you. She could pick you up and you would relax and go right to sleep.

You and Grandpa:

They all loved you so much. We can't wait to see more of them!

Big Bed

Sometimes we put you in bed with us (mostly when you want to be awake but we're not ready to get up yet). This particular day you decided to take up as much room on the bed as you possibly could. But you're so little it wasn't very much.

Too Darn Hot

The weather here in DC has really warmed up recently. Unfortunately, our apartment complex hasn't switched over to air conditioning yet. It gets SO hot during the day and doesn't cool down until early morning hours. You don't like the hot too much, so we let you hang out in just a diaper.

You wear cloth diapers and look so cute in them!

Sleeping

For the most part you are a fantastic sleeper. Unfortunately, you don't always sleep at the most convenient times. For awhile you were sleeping from 4 am to 4 pm, waking up only briefly to eat. You'll fall asleep practically anywhere.

In your bouncer:

Even half naked on a blanket:

You yawning really big, getting ready to go to sleep:

You usually sleep with your arms up by your face. You usually get mad if we pin down your arms with a blanket when you are sleeping.

April 6, 2010

On April 6 we went to the pediatrician for your two month check-up. Here are your stats:

Weight: 11 lbs 6 oz (73%)
Height: 22.75 in (60%)
Head Circum: 15.5 in (74%)

You also had to get some shots. Not fun! You were brave when you got them and only cried a little afterward. You did not feel good for the rest of the day. I had to hold you most of the day until you felt better.

You got two Snoopy band-aids where you got the shots:

Poor little Paige!

Easter and General Conference Weekend

April 3rd and 4th was your first General Conference weekend. Dad and I watched it at home while you slept through most of it.

April 4th was also Easter this year. After conference that day we went and had dinner with a bunch of our law school friends. You wore a pretty purple dress that was mine when I was your age.

Uncle Jeffy sent you an adorable bunny shaped Easter basket with all sorts of fun things in it. Thanks, Uncle Jeffy!

You Laughed!

You laughed for the first time today!

You were sitting in your bouncer chair and Dad was playing with you. You were looking at him and smiling. He starting squeezing and wiggling your leg while singing Old MacDonald. Your smile got even bigger and you let out a laugh. You were so delighted you just couldn't keep it in.

Dying Easter Eggs

This week we went to our first play date with our friends since you were born. We dyed Easter Eggs with Michelle and Gabbi, Eve and Alex, and Christen and Henry.

Michelle made these adorable eggs:

Eve, Christen, and I adoring you. You were smiling all over the place:

We're so lucky to have such good friends in our ward!

Spring

Spring is here in DC and you look so adorable in your little short sleeve outfits and bows. Usually when you're wearing a headband you work it down so it's over your eyes.
