Pile of Books

You love to look at books. Sometimes to get you to sit still for a little bit, I'll put you on the couch surrounded by a pile of books.

Playing with Daddy

You LOVE to play with Daddy. Sometimes you play peek-a-boo hiding in your own shirt,

(in this video Daddy is wearing white shorts and shirt and not just his garments)

You especially like to play on our mattress. We put our mattress on the floor in the front room at night so you can have the bedroom all to yourself. The next morning you love to climb, play, and lay on the mattress.

Heeeyy....

One day at lunch you picked up your sippy cup and started smashing your snacks with it. I said "Heeeyyy.." and you thought that was SO FUNNY. You kept smashing, I kept saying "heeeyyy" and you kept laughing for quite awhile.

New Car Seat

You finally got big enough to use your new forward facing car seat. The day I switched the car seats I took one last picture of you sitting in your infant car seat:

I can't believe how big you've gotten, especially compared to how tiny you were one year earlier:

Peas

You love eating vegetables. Your favorites are peas, broccoli, and carrots. You'll eat most other vegetables too. Here's a picture of you sitting on a tray eating peas.

Rocket Ship

Daddy does a fun rocket ship with you. He holds you facing out and runs around the rooms making rocking noises. You LOVE it. You always get the biggest grin and you just love it.

Barnes and Noble

In the winter it's hard to find places for you to play outside of the apartment. One thing we like to do is take you to stores and let you walk around and look at things and people. Here is a picture of you at Barnes and Noble looking at a pile of books.

Cell Phone

One of your favorite things to play with is cell phones. Since you accidentally call people on our phones, we give you play cell phones. You have a toy phone that rings from Grandma and Grandpa Kartchner, and some other play phones from Grandma and Grandpa Brison. You take the phones, and put them up to your neck and walk around talking into them.

National Archives

We went and visited the National Archives. We couldn't take pictures in any of the exhibits, but we saw some neat things, like the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence.

As usual with most of our outings, you were most interested in walking around in the big open spaces.

Carseat

We got you a new carseat that faces forward, but unfortunately you're not big enough to use it in the car yet, so it's sitting in our house. You like to sit in it every chance you get.

Opening Presents

We opened all of your presents a couple of days after your birthday. You had lots of fun opening all of your presents. You got a lot of fun presents.

One of your presents from Grandma and Grandpa Kartchner was a cute Valentine's Day dress. t
You took the dress and put it over your head and walked around with it.
Some of your favorite presents are a fun cell phone that lights up and makes noises and some cars from Grandma and Grandpa Kartchner, and the ladybug book and the monkey book from Grandma and Grandpa Brison. Thanks for the fun presents everyone!

Birthday Party

You and I celebrated our birthdays together with a party. We had some friends over, ate tacos, cake, and ice cream.

Here you are dressed up for your party:

Lots of friends came to party with us:

Josh and Christen (Henry was running around somewhere):

Eve and Baby Girl Fowles (Adam and Alex were there too):

Hugh and Tammy:

Chelsey, Tristen, and Harrison (Clay and Hyrum were there too):

Cohen:

We had two separate cakes for us. Christen made me a delightful pineapple/pudding cake, and I made you a cake from scratch. It looked funny, but it tasted ok. You had a 1 shaped candle, and I had sparkler candles (that I couldn't blow out by myself).

After we blew out our candles we gave you your first piece of cake. You were unsure of it and didn't grab at it.

"Why are all of these people staring at me?!"
We took you out of the highchair and I sat on the floor with you and the cake. You got right into it and loved it!

You kept grabbing pieces of cake and running off with them.

We had such a fun party!
